１９７２年、京都生まれ。
ＮＨＫの報道ディレクターとして１９年勤務。ニュースウォッチ９の立ち上げ、ＮＨＫスペシャルなどの番組制作、オリンピックやワールドカップの現地取材など、報道の最前線を経験。超大物政治家からホームレスまで、取材した人数はのべ２万人を超える。
取材を通して、大企業神話や年功序列といった「古い幸せのカタチ」が崩壊しかかっているのに、その価値観を押し付けられて苦しんでいる若者たちが、未来にまったく希望を持てていないことを知り愕然とする。
また、地方都市での勤務経験から、都市一極集中で疲弊し機能不全に陥っている地方自治体の現状に心を痛める。
すべての日本人が笑顔と豊かさを取り戻してほしいという思いから、２０１６年に独立し起業。民泊を通じ地方自治体にインバウンド（訪日観光客）が足を運ぶ仕掛けをつくり、注目を浴びる。
「おもてなし民泊」を提唱した著書「民泊インパクト！」はAmazonの部門別ベストセラー１位に。
現在は世界中を旅しながら、場所や時間にとらわれない自由で非常識な生き方を実践。その秘密を知りたいという方向けに情報発信やコンサルなどを展開。
また、NHK時代の豊富な取材経験と、時代の風を読む能力を買われ、ホテル・カフェのプロデュースや、アートディレクターとしてロゴ、キャラクターのデザインを手がけたり、近年はスピリチュアル能力を活かしたサイキックリーディングや占いなど、ジャンルにとらわれず幅広く活動中。
